Chief (sel) Gloria Robertson was born and raised in Nashville Tennessee. Enlisting in the United States Navy in May of 1993, she completed basic training in Orlando FL and reported to Dental Technician “A” School in San Diego, CA. Upon graduating in November of 1993, she reported to Branch Dental Clinic, Kings Bay, GA. She was assigned TAD to Branch Dental Clinic, Cecil Field, Jacksonville, FL and then to Branch Dental Clinic, Mayport, FL.
HM3 Robertson next reported to Branch Dental Clinic, London, United Kingdom in December of 1996, where she worked independently as an orthodontics technician, enabling her dental officer to double patient productivity. HM2 Robertson then transferred to Naval Air Station Oceana, Naval Dental Center Mid-Atlantic in December 1999, during her tour she served as the Leading Petty Office and dental recall manager.
In January 2002, HM2 Robertson reported to USS Ronald Reagan (CVN76), she was assigned as the Dental department’s career counsel and front desk manager. Her managerial ability and work ethic was instrumental throughout the pre-commissioning phase and initial set-up of the dental department’s from desk operations. While station onboard the USS Ronald Reagan, she qualified for both her enlisted surface and aviation warfare devices.
In November 2004, HM2 Robertson completed Dental Administration C School, Naval School of Health Sciences, San Diego, CA. In December 2004, HM1 Robertson reported to U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan in December of 2004. She was assigned as the Leading Petty Officer of the administrative department and later she served as the Leading Petty Officer of the Obstetrics/Gynecology and Urology department. While stationed at Naval Hospital Yokosuka, she deployed to Expeditionary Medical Facility Kuwait from July 2006 to March 2007.
HM1 Robertson, reported to Naval School of Health Sciences, Portsmouth VA in December 2008. She was assigned as the Defense Travel System Manager, Government Travel Card Program Manager. She went on to become the Executive Assistance to the Commanding Officer.
In May of 2010, HM1 Robertson reported to her current command, Naval Operational Medicine Institute, Pensacola, FL., serving as the Leading Petty Officer of the Staff Education and Training Department. In August 2011, HM1 Robertson was Selected for Chief Petty Officer.
HMC(sel) Robertson currently resides in lives in Pensacola FL with her daughter as a geographical bachelor.
HMC (SEL) Robertson’s personal awards and medals include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal ( five awards)and numerous other personal awards.,
